SXSW + Sub Swara’s Fugazi Remix
|
We’re headed down to Austin for the mixed media mayhem that is SXSW this week. Really looking forward to gettin’ down south, connecting, performing and eating a good breakfast taco or 2. In the spirit of stylistic confluence and general genre agnostic mashery that awaits in Austin, here’s our remix of Fugazi’s classic, “Waiting Room”. They’re a band that definitely is near and dear to us from way back in they day so grab it below for free! And if you’re at SXSW this week, come say hello at the Surefire Showcase at Barcelona this Saturday (3/20)- we play at 10 PM. Plastician, Debruit, Eskmo Lazer Sword and Kotchy are also on the bill so it’s gonna be a hell of a night! |

Bangin mash!! Wouldnt have guessed these guys were a big infuence on ya
Keep picking awesome songs to remix. You should do Police Truck, or Holiday in Cambodia, or something like that.
NAAAAAAAAAAAAASTY…
Very good job, actually Great job (listened 10 times till now)! It’s really really hard to remix such a song, specially Waiting Room (most known bla, bla, bla). No just because of music itself, listeners with a little deeper background (80′ scene etc.) have quite “relationship” with Fugazi. I’m mean all the politicial, social context… could write for hours.
Yes, it is good. Bravo!

Listened to other Fugazi remixed “stuff” – GUYS! you know what are you doing.
Perfect! Catch the original dynamics with production, bla, bla, bla. And you understood most important; make music around the vocal, otherwise you don’t have a chance. Now, it’s really time to go to bed here in Slovenia.
